Be Aware - Sudan Conflict

Any doubts about the lunacy of the Sudanese Khartoum government? Watch this!

In Sudan, a civil war, decades long with a death toll of more than 2 million, continues to rage.

This courageous report from top news agency Aljazeera reveals the "scorched earth" policy the Khartoum government are currently carrying out in the Nuba Mountain area of Southern Kordofan. They claim to be targeting rebel groups. Yet evidence on the ground irrevocably shows the deliberate massacring of civilians.

Government army officers encourage their troops to "wipe out" all inhabitants they see; to "eat them raw". Bombing has destroyed entire villages.  No plants can grow on the burnt land.

Thousands have fled the violence, and now face starvation. Yet the sending of humanitarian aid to the region is currently banned by the government.

The program interviews Mustafa Osman Ismail, a senior adviser to Omar al -Bashi (Sudanese president - incidentally wanted by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity).

Watch this total joker  try to convince the viewer that there is no massacre or civilian targetting.... despite the flattened villages and scores of dead.

Watch him state that the bombarded Nuba population are receiving aid - when in reality all NGOs and UN agencies are blocked from the area.

That's some feat - openly lying on a global news channel...

The international community must push harder. Access for aid must be ensured.  And Omar al - Bashi must answer for his policies.

Come on Aljazeera!
